I HAVE HAD IT WITH MY PHONE

For the love of heck, I can NOT figure out how to CALL somebody unless they call me FIRST or are listed in my CONTACTS and it is driving me CRAZY.

New phone. Gah.

It's Verizon, it's white all over, it doesn't flip open, it has a stylus. Anybody know what the heck kinda phone that is and how to use it before I decide to throw it out the window? On the boat? Into the bay?

Surprisingly, yes, and within the first 25 seconds, too! I usually abhor videos, preferring whenever possible to get my information from writing with, if necessary, explanatory (still!) pictures (or from a video that has important facts written), but hard to miss "call button". Which is so tiny that I largely forget it even is a button. They really should make some form of redundancy where I can call by pressing the button OR touching the screen.

I usually avoid these instructional videos, too, but we're in the market for a new cell phone so I've been trying to learn how those button-less devices work.

The written reviews are mostly horrid for actually explaining how devices work. And nobody is ever available at the stores so I've resorted to looking up video reviews.

I'm still on the fence as to what kind of phone to get when we do upgrade my old warhorse, but at least I'm hoping I'll get some good pointers as I keep poking around.
