While some of the above is obviously influenced by early training (my mother gets UPSET if her planned day is messed up for any reason), that was interesting, especially when a previous boyfriend once asked if I had Asperger's.

Kanner didn't come up with that one, incidentally, but he *did* notice that the parents of the kids he was working with often were a little distant and "weird". His conclusion was the much more obvious conclusion, that these things run in families.
