If it's any consolation, I always just kinda assumed you're on the spectrum. (But then, I tend to assume that about most of my LJ friends.)

While some of the above is obviously influenced by early training (my mother gets UPSET if her planned day is messed up for any reason), that was interesting, especially when a previous boyfriend once asked if I had Asperger's.

You ever heard about the refrigerator mother theory? That insufficiently loving parents could make their kids autistic? Kanner didn't come up with that one, incidentally, but he *did* notice that the parents of the kids he was working with often were a little distant and "weird". His conclusion was the much more obvious conclusion, that these things run in families.
