Unfortunately, that's not news - it's been known for quite a while that he basically made everything up. And yet MMR uptake plummeted, because people are willing to jump on any anti-immunisation bandwagon.

I've seen official info about how he faked the data before. But people really want to believe immunization is bad. They generally point to anecdotes anyway.

I don't know how to talk about this stuff with people. It's like trying to talk to creationists. In fact, maybe that's a hint: it's a pseudo-religious belief masquerading as science. There's just no way to refute it if people won't accept science in the first place. I was just reading the comments on a vaccination article, and someone actually pooh-poohed scientific evidence as opposed to anecdotal evidence, which according to this person represents the "real" world. W.T.F?!?!?! How can you argue with someone who thinks the scientific method is an exercise in fantasy?

I stalled Topher's shots because of the cysts he gets in his legs from them, and he still came out Autistic. That whole thing was just silly from the getgo. :-p

CONNIEEEEE! LOOK WHAT SHE QUOTED IN VAXXY-VAX WHATSIT THINGY!

"Petitioners' theories of causation were speculative and unpersuasive," wrote Special Master Denise Vowell in the case of Colten Snyder v. HHS. "To conclude that Colten's condition was the result of his MMR vaccine, an objective observer would have to emulate Lewis Carroll's White Queen and be able to believe six impossible (or at least highly improbable) things before breakfast."

I was unreasonably excited when I saw that. Obviously.
