It's just... I really wish my dad were here to see this. On the one hand, he would have had to suffer through eight years of Bush like the rest of us, and I'm certain he would not have wanted to do that. On the other hand....
I just really wish my father were still alive to see today. He'd be so proud, and so happy. I know it. (And he'd be happy for reasons beyond "OMFG! NO MORE BUSH!" which, really, is half of why we're all so happy and you know it. At this point I'd be happy to have just sworn in a talking frog as president, you know? Though I'm much happier still with the guy I actually wanted in office, of course!)
My father would have been all over this. He would have walked to DC and back just to be there, and that's the truth.
