Lip balm, but sometimes I will say chapstick (that's the spelling in my head) and am okay with either. Although I am less likely to say lip balm or anything balm if in an airport as I don't want to risk an unfortunate mishearing and will say chapstick in those circumstances.

I'm the same way. "Chap stick" is generic to me, regardless of its proper use, and I'm somewhat more likely to say it. "Lip balm" is more correct, but I only occasionally say it. Like with the infamous "pop/soda/coke?" question, I tend to go for a more specific term, as in my Burt's Bees stick. :-)
