We just finished the stage where you have to turn into a ghost to free Luigi from the haunted mansion.

Here's what I don't get. YOU get out of the cage by grabbing onto the star that Luigi had found and letting it magically teleport you back home. But... why didn't it work for Luigi? He had it the whole time he was hanging out in the mansion waiting to be rescued!

Gah. Stupid.
