Edit: Oh, by the way, I asked my mom about the sweater dress, mayna, and she hemmed and hawed and said "Somebody else has to at least pay for the wool", which seems fair to me so I said I'd tell you.

If only I or any of my geeky friends were pregnant...but $40 for a "just in case/someday" present seems a bit ambitious.

Forget the kids, get it for yourself! Or for myself, anyway. Does online hypnosis work? Don't have a shiny watch, I'll have to use my cell phone, hold on....

uh-oh, they're going fast!

I showed them to Tyson, and he decided it's the perfect wacky gift for one of his friends he hasn't found a Xmas gift for yet. The guy likes weird geeky stuff, and is into steampunk, so Tyson thinks these are perfect and just bought a set (there's still 6 more, so he didn't get the last one or anything).

Seeing how much my cats like playing with small objects, including my wood-mounted rubber stamps, I don't think having these displayed anywhere in my place would be a good idea. :(

yeah, wool yarn is $$. How much to pay for the wool? I can send a check.

I say wool, I mean yarn. It'd probably be cotton yarn or acrylic.

Let me run by Michael's tomorrow, check out the prices. Colors?

Or I run by Smiley's this weekend, but they're up in Queens. Could order from them - that's the most direct route - but then the yarn would have to be delivered. We have yarn up the wazoo in the basement, mind, but not neccessarily every color out there.

Maylie's particular about pink or purple if she has a choice. If she doesn't, then she is usually happy to get a gift if she doesn't know there was a choice. You can always use colors you already have too (that's my preferred method when sewing, is using up some of my stash)
