Oh, incidentally....

So, we've got Niki, Jessica, and now Tracy.
So, Jessica has superstrength. Tracy can freeze people. Okay, that makes sense - I can see that different personalities have different powers. Mohinder is wrong, it's not just blood chemistry, it's something in the brain. Well, Sylar knows that, right? So we *know* it's right. ("Eat your brain? Claire. That's disgusting." Weirdest conversation ever.)
So... what's Niki's power, then? Multiple personalities is not a power, and I'm not convinced the mirror trick wasn't just in her mind... minds... whatever.
(And, better question, is Tracy part of the whole... uh... ikiN setup there? Time will tell.

Date: 2008-09-23 04:33 am (UTC)BTW Didn't Niki/Jessica have a third? The one who ran off to ... LA, I think? And DL went and found her, and got shot? The Internet tells me her name was Gina.
I'm leaning towards that Niki/Jessica/Gina has one power, and Tracy is not Niki/Jessica/Gina. You don't get to be advisor to the governor overnight, and she was too sure of her "You can check me out." And this isn't Torchwood, you can't just invent a whole fictional life for a 35-year-old-woman.
ETA ... and I prefer not to speculate and would rather just let the story unfold. (I don't try to figure out who the killer is in mystery novels, either.)

We haven't seen Heroes although some of our friends are following it.
If each person has their own power, then one might "borrow" another's via co-running -- two people using the body simultaneously. Are the writers of this show aware of such things?

Probably only a little. The closest they came to anything I'd describe as that - assuming co-running means "two or more personalities being aware and more or less in charge at the same time" - is when Jessica (fairly amoral) voluntarily passed control back to Nikki because Nikki has a value system and she really doesn't.
It's a *really* cheesy show in a lot of ways.
