I don't find that they do, and I don't have a problem with them, while I *do* with normal fluorescents.
However, I know many people (most of whom are on the spectrum) who *do* have problems with compact fluorescents, who say they *do* see a flicker or hear it, or just feel bad/sick around them.
There is something called LED bulbs, which, as near as I can tell, also go in a normal bulb socket (is that the word here?), and they last some 60x longer than regular bulbs (which is about 6 times longer than compact fluorescents, I believe), and they use even less energy than the compact fluorescents (saving you money), and they don't have mercury, and they routinely put on capes and defend the city of Townsvi... right. Well, only thing is that they seem to cost something like $30 per bulb, and no matter how much the savings are in the long run, that's a lot to pay for the short run.
That's a lot but the CF bulbs used to be quite expensive too. Danny said he sold them for $50 when they first came out. I know we paid probably $20 per bulb many years ago.
