Lizziey, let's be fair, is usually very bright, and often pretty knowledgable. So we're honestly just joking around when making fun of her, AND I asked her permission before posting this...
Earlier today, we were talking about general politics, and she mentioned that the only good thing about a draft is that she can't be drafted, no matter what they do, because she's a single parent. Eric couldn't get custody of Seth if he wanted to, due to some, ah, irregularities concerning his behaviour and his sister. This turned into how she couldn't really join the army anyway because that means signing over custody, and a bit of an explanation from me about how that's supposed to be just a formality, even legally... that you can sue to get custody back if the other guardians overstep their bounds somehow. And I mentioned that she couldn't really join the army anyway because, "you know, you're bi". Now, I love her, and she is completely right when she says that "isn't this discrimination? That's illegal, isn't it?" but apparently she's been completely out of touch for as long as I've known her (seven and a half years! Scary...)
And then we all explained that, yeah, she COULD join if she didn't have any hot lesbian sex, but, knowing Lizziey, she probably would. That's not an insult, she just has a healthy sex life, and some of it involves women. She couldn't join the army anyway... she's got a bad back, bad eyesight, almost no hearing, no real sense of balance, and other health issues.
