We like to do a walk in this canyon near our house. We walk about a mile in (just under) and then turn around and walk back out. Kira has been coming with us since she could walk, and by the time she was 2, she could walk there and back without problems. I think most people think 2 miles is way too far for a 2 year old, but she had no problems once she was used to it, and the only way she DID get used to it was by us encouraging her and not wheeling her about everywhere. Based on your and my experiences, a kid can easily handle 2 miles.
