I, for one, am sick of being told I'm "paranoid" for taking basic safety precautions. It's not as though I'm refusing to ever leave the house or anything. I simply stay inside during thunderstorms. Not that hard to do.

No kidding. I'm nearly phobic, so I AM overly cautious. Today we had a rather unfriendly storm suddenly roll into the area, lightning flashing faster and more frequently than I can remember ever seeing it - it was weird and very unnerving. There's one of the benefits of Wal Mart - it's great insulation against a storm like that. It happened to be a convenient stop on my way to my folks' house, so I went in browsing anything of potential interest to keep me occupied for an hour and a half. :-p
