Evangeline: Are we going to ow-uh* house Connie?
Me: Yes. We live there, you know. In our house.
Evangeline: No, we do not!
Me: Yes, we do.
Evangeline: No! We live outside! *giggle*
Me: Oh, we do, do we? Where? In the peppermint?
Evangeline: Yeah, in peppamin.
Ana: What about the peppermint?
Me: I guess we live in a peppermint patch. But... what about our roof? We can't live outside, we don't have a roof!
Evangeline: Yes we do. Trees are our roof! Our roof is trees!
*I say "our" like this too, well, like ow-er anyway, but I don't stress that second syllable nearly so much!
Me: Yes. We live there, you know. In our house.
Evangeline: No, we do not!
Me: Yes, we do.
