Librarything looks more popular, which may mean something.

Librarything is much more versatile and more suited for cataloging purposes. Goodreads is mostly for people who want to review and discuss books. At least IMO.

Just breezing by from your comment on discworld, but I'm using GoodReads and I find it incredibly easy to add books and keep track of things. ^__^
