Her mother was there, but she's going a bit senile, so... yeah. I would not have done this at all, leaving my own mother with the niecelings (grandkids to her, of course), except that her boys had strep and she had to appear in court (as a lawyer, not anything else).

I can only hope I do not get sick. My throat started hurting before I stepped in the door. That had damn well better be psychosomatic, because if I was sick before showing up there the irony is just crappy.
