Yeah, I was just having a discussion with my husband about it, and it was one of those discussions that included "let's ask the Mormons for stockpiling tips" and "maybe we should buy a gun."

Now I think that's probably a little paranoid, since I don't think we're going to have marauding hordes of looters in the suburbs of Kalamazoo even at the worst of things, but you know, we're worried, of course we're worried. I'm a rank amateur at this sort of thing but even I can tell that something's very wrong with our economy, propped up as it is by easy credit and insane loan terms.

lol, that's us, too. We're planning a garden (we would have anyway) but we're working as hard and as fast as we can to get out of debt so that if the worst does happen we won't have debt to deal with, too. I've been considering stockpiling - mostly because every time I go to the store I have to pay 10 cents more an item - and if I buy it now, then when it's gone from $1 to $2 I'll still have it at $1. Ish.
