Lately, I've had a real craving for hot dogs

Plan to buy some tomorrow to cook up, in fact.

Took me the longest time to figure out why. And then... I knew. I knew why I wanted a celebration in a bun, a taste sensation! FOUR TIMES A DAY. AT LEAST. That's how often I read this book.

And then they recite it to me. And they say the words as I say it. And they try to carry it around with them, which I stop because it's a library book and we only have so much tape.

GOD DAMN IT. I've been brainwashed!

Lately, I *have* been simultaneously craving sleep and the ability to stay up really really late....

Anyway, when we read "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus" (also from the library), every time we get to the part where he whines "I NEVER GET TO DO ANYTHING", Ana will pipe up "That's not true, you get to have a hot dog!"

EVERY TIME.
