What's the point of LJ Drama? I know, they report on and create drama, adding snide criticisms of the attitudes of the people rather than just the drama going on. Got it.

But why do we care? I mean, people react like "OMG!!!! WE'RE GOING TO END UP ON LJ DRAMA!!! STOP FIGHTING!!!!" sometimes. Now, if you don't want to end up there, that's perfectly reasonable, but why don't you want to end up there? Just because you care what people think of you? I can understand you don't want the comment emails, but you can disable that for individual posts. And in a way, ending up on LJ Drama can be seen as a perverted rite of passage, can't it? And once you do, you can pretend that the offending post doesn't exist, and never read the comments.

Having wound up on fandom_wank, ljdrama's geeky cousin, at one point, I'd venture to say there's an element of embarrassment. One may not especially care what strangers think of one, and still not be pleased to have one's overreactions, faux pas, or just plain bad behavior immortalized and publicized (and/or caricaturized).

In a way I think it's good that these things exist and have such awful reputations. If people are worried enough about ending up on LJDrama, maybe they won't act like utter asshats so often. :)

I hate LJ Drama. It's so stupid. Don't those people have anything better to do?

Actually, I would love to be on LJ Drama, I'd think it was funny!

Well I agree it's rather silly, but sometimes there's some funny things posted. I think it's more out of something to look at during the slow part of the day that I go ;)

My community made it on once, although I think it really wasn't a very interesting "fight".
