Date: 2007-09-12 03:41 am (UTC)Only thing is, these communities aren't restricting themselves to consenting adults, and they're not raising their kids to have any choices in the matter anyway, and it's not just polygamy, there's a lot of incest too - not, I believe, father/daughter, but some uncle/niece and cousins. Well, marrying your cousin isn't an inherantly bad thing, except when you keep on doing it for several generations in a small community.
