So, we're in Latin, and Professor Van Sickle has just about forgiven Michael for Monday, and we're translating Vergil. Who is evil and makes little sense, even when correctly translated.

We had come to the line "O tantum libeat mecum tibi sordida rura..." and Michael (all of us) were stumbling over the word "libeat". So, to help him out, Professor Van Sickle asked "Well, what's your libido?"

*deep thought*

Michael: Um... I don't know!

When we realized what he had said, we all fell apart laughing and making bad jokes.

VS: You don't know what your libido is, and you're only what, 20? 19?
Me: *frantically looking for a bad joke* Told you you were working too hard (not recently I haven't, but....)!

One of Vergil's sayings is tomorrow's Thought for the Day at school, and it looks to be one of the more ponderous/stupid ones we've had (though it'll never beat "There are many ways to find God up a mountain" or "Think left, think right, think low, think high. Oh the things you could think up if only you'd try!")

As for the libido thing, that's great.
