I just spent got knows how many minutes of my life, minutes I will never get back, making dozens upon dozens of cute little sandwiches for Ana's party.

And you know the worst part? The little darlings won't even appreciate the effort. They're all under the age of five! Most of them are three!

They'll just eat them. It's enough to make me cry, really.

And the worst part? It's not even that many sandwiches. We used up three loaves of bread, and it's not that many sandwiches.

We had two types of sandwich, big and small. The big ones (dinosaurs, flowers, butterflies, a few hearts) were meat and cheese - either ham or turkey, and either "monster" or swiss. The little ones (hearts and stars) were peanut butter with either grape or strawberry jelly.

Nothing overly fancy, it just took a while, and, given the number of sandwiches we made, was really very wasteful. I suspect that when you're making just a few, you eat the crusts - but we couldn't do that when we were making dozens!

Yeah. Cutifying two or three slices of bread for sandwiches (one slice makes two teeny sandwiches, or half of one big and one teeny) isn't a huge task. I would suggest metal cookie cutters rather than plastic, though :)
