It's like I've always said - you can't live in a city and expect not to have a pest problem!

(For that matter, I'm not so sure you can do it in the country as well. Pretty much, I assume that if you say you don't have a bug or rodent problem, what you mean is that you simply don't know of the bugs and rodents sharing your life.)

Or you think it's not a problem.

An infestation is a problem. I guess in a commercial place, in the basement, it's not surprising. But running out in the open, well, that means there are WAY too many hidden.

And I've lived in places where I never saw anything, except one mouse in five years. To me, that's no problem. A place where I couldnt spend one moment without seeing a bug? That's a problem.

we had an under-the-sink cupboard where we kept extra catfood and birdseed in the house i lived in in high school. you can imagine mice liked that cupboard. i always competed with my cat to see who could catch the most mice (I let mine live, she killed hers). my mom didn't think it was quite as fun a game as i did, but i rather enjoyed the rodent "problem."

after reading that article, thinking about all the dirty humans preparing food in restaurants makes me not want to go out to eat again...
