We saw Elliot today.
Feb. 21st, 2007 11:07 pmNoticed something I hadn't before - the boy flaps his hands when upset/excited. Or he did today, anyway. You'd think I'd've seen it if he'd done it before around me, wouldn't you?
Not that it means anything other than "he flaps his hands, or seemed to, when upset/excited today". But I did notice it, and I was going to post a plethora of autism linkies anyway, and it seemed as good an intro as any.
First, we've got three links on Amanda Baggs and CNN: One, Two (don't read the comments, they're pretty depressing. Well, no, but the ones that are *really* are), Three.
Amanda, of course, has a blog of her own, here. That's not because she's brilliant. The brilliant thing is separate :)
There's two links from ABFH here and here.
One on faceblindness and the rarity of certain conditions
One on reciprocity (I posted the video of this a while back, this is a pdf with the transcript)
Autism Diva's post on "Dignity for Autistics" (not scare quotes, real ones)
I had more. Not sure where they went. *shrugs*
