no, REALLY. from the first two pictures, i thought it was about a 12" block, then i saw the picture of Ana wrapped in it. it's way bigger than it looked at first! you did a really good job. the points or the diamonds all come together perfectly in the center (something i have never mastered, despite my training from my mom, the ninja quilt master). and i like your colors too.

and holy crap, look how big and CUTE!! the baby is getting!!

Full crib-sized blanket. With a border.

Honestly, it can *barely* cover Ana from chest to toes. I would've made it bigger, but I got so sick of that damn border, kept mismeasuring stuff. Grrrr.

They don't all come together perfectly, but it's hard to tell that from these pictures. The trick, I believe, is to sew along the line right up until you hit the very corners. Every time. Which in my case means estimating how much I have left, and then taking baby stitches and occasional huge ones to make sure I get there just right.

Neither can I. You can't see it in these pictures (though one of them is in my scrapbook gallery) but in many squares you can see the shoddy stitchery, with quilting lines going in weird-ass curves where they shouldn't, or being much too large, or whatever.

But it's improved, a lot, since when I started the quilt.

Apparently, Jenn wasn't too sure about my fabric when I picked it out, but that was the only part of my quilt I knew was gonna work from the beginning!

And everybody else did theirs differently, with a clear background/foreground instead of my circle that I saw. Oh well.
