Stick people walking around doing their daily business. At one point, we've got two stick people lugging a stroller up/down a flight of stairs.

How many times a day does the average caregiver do that? I want to stop these people and say "Look, there's an easier way!" Better, I don't know about better (and that's an argument unlikely to convince anybody anyway), but it's sure easier than lugging strollers around.

But they don't know other than to do what everybody else does, and how can I blame them? *sighs*

On a related note, Evangeline is quite a clever little baby. She'll go right up to her sister's toy kitchen and pretend to wash her hands in the sink. That's what my mom and her parents say, anyway - I don't let the baby go in Ana's room very much, so I've never seen this.

Jenn was theorizing that this is because on my back (or my chest, or my hip), she can see everything, and we spend a *lot* of time in bathrooms. In a stroller, she wouldn't be able to see as much. I don't know if this is true or not, but it's sure a cute story :)

(She also says "Ah? Ah!" when trying to give me food. I'll count that as a word, since "Ah, ah" is what I say to her to make her open her mouth, either because that's where we are in a song, or because I want to give her something to eat (in her hand or her mouth), or (most often) because I don't want her to eat something. Other day, I said "Ah?" to her when I thought she'd snuck a scrunchie in her mouth (she had), and that girl actually *jumped*. It was funny, right up until she started crying in bitter defeat. Aw.)

Not that I think it was the automatic case for those people, but keep in mind, strollers are possible for people that aren't able to use the method you do. Yeah, even including hauling the heavy thing up stairs, because it uses very different muscle/bone structures.

(I can carry 40-pound bags of litter provided I keep it below chest height, but it takes less than five pounds in a purse or backpack to cause major problems. Rare, but also invisible unless I'm massaging my neck and popping muscle relaxers... *G*)

Well....I just wanted to point out, that mural *also* shows people wheeling oboes, PIANOS!! and dragging Xmas trees. So, maybe it's meant to show the silly side on NY :-p
