I don't get it.
Aug. 15th, 2006 09:26 pmIt takes me, depending on how much I care, anywhere from a few minutes to several repetitions to remember a poem, song, or interesting quotation in a book. I learned "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" by memorizing couplet by couplet, each couplet required only one repetition. So that took me less than twenty minutes, not counting the break I took to set it to music.
But in between deciding to do something and reaching my hand out to grab whatever I need to do it with, I'll forget both what I'm reaching for and why I want it, and often several other related details as well.
That's totally and completely unfair.

Date: 2006-08-16 01:28 pm (UTC)Seriously I believe that 20 some odd years and over a thousand books later you have effectively trained your mind to only give a fuck about info that is in print if it ain't written then it was probably not important in the first place because if it really was all that important then way did not someone write it down
Think about it, then write the answer down before you forget :-p
