Instructive conversation

Ana: Connie! Don't tickle me!
Me: Okay, honey, I won't.
Ana: Don't tickle me!
Me: *grins* I won't!
Ana: No - don't tickle me!
Me: *giggling* Fine! I'm not tickling you!
Ana: ...
Ana: No, Connie. You tickle me, and I say... I say "Don't tickle me!", okay?

Ana: *crawls out from under bed*
Okay! I hide, and you find me.
Jenn: Okay. You go in there, and I'll find you.
Ana: *sidles to the door*
Jenn: Looks like somebody knows... I'm gonna chase her!
Ana: *giggles and runs off*
Jenn: *flops down on the floor and takes a short nap, periodically waking to tell Ana that she's going to get chased*

Ye gods, what are we teaching this child?

Taught the baby how to play fetch, that was fun. Fetch, baby! Fetch the doll! Good girl!
