I urge all those who honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life, where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected, especially those who live at the mercy of others. The essence of civilization is that the strong have a duty to protect the weak. In cases where there are serious doubts and questions, the presumption should be in the favor of life.

Can we say serious fucking hypocrite, people? Oh, I know we hashed all this out a year ago, but let's talk about it again some day, shall we?

Seriously, why don't more people know about futile care laws? They exist, I believe, in more than one state - and I don't see that they get much press. Maybe I'm mistaken?

Well, King Culture of Life is also the biggest war-killer prez since Nixon, and presided over the largest number of state-sponsored executions in U.S. history... but who's counting, right?
