Refering to an article on [livejournal.com profile] alternet, wherein we're informed that, yes, that video was less about Autism Every Day and more about Autism on Days When We've Gratuitously Fucked Up Our Autistic Kid's Routine in Hopes of Getting Better Footage.

Aren't you glad to know that? I sure am.

Wow. Goes to show people will work their asses off to avoid "abnormal". Some people would rather die than think and some people would rather die than tolerate differences. Yes, there's a practical / pragmatics side to the work but work is involved in all upbringing and I have seen the difference work out to about nil when one considers all the kinds of problems any child can have.
