I had a good birthday...

Thank you to those who sent me things on neo, or who made posts about me on livejournal! *huggles*
I spent my birthday with my family, that's my mom, my sister Jenn, her husband 'dul and their baby Ana; and my OTHER sister Lizziey and HER baby Seth. I really just hung out at Jenn's house with them most of the day, ate that wonderful mint chocolate cake that Lizziey made, then went out to dinner at a good Afghan restaurant in the village. The bill was $125, which is a LOT, but not when you consider that it was five people eating, so it's only about $25 per person. Considering all the food we got, that's not too bad. And good food. All the food was good except the chicken pomegranate thing, which was bad because I didn't like the concept, not because it was badly made.
And I'm getting a laptop. For school purposes, of course, but that's not the point, it's still a laptop. I'm happy.

Date: 2004-02-01 10:53 am (UTC)Funny thing... when I was coming to school, they sent out a booklet on choosing a computer (since you have to have one) and one of the "cons" for laptops was that they're heavy to carry around. I couldn't help thinking, "True, but a desktop computer would be even heavier!"
