Veronica Mars...
Apr. 5th, 2006 10:28 pm1. Charlie's mother? Overbearing. Among other things, taking her son to the dance wasn't saintly. It was nice how she kept him from imminent humiliation at the hands of his supposed "peers" (and really, does mocking strange people ever get old? One would think that it must, eventually, and yet....), but there's no need to make everybody feel awkward by telling her, in front of your son, hello, how wonderful it is.
2. Jackie's growing on me.
3. Wow. Thumper's dead. And Logan killed him. Weevil's got quite a mind on him. I wonder why he hasn't graduated yet - you'd think he'd be done by now with the motivation of pleasing grandma behind him!
4. Betcha Logan's really gonna like finding out he's a murderer all over again. I anticipate overdone scenes of drinking and violence against defenseless objects. What say you?
5. Woody needs to learn to pay attention to the world around him. Not only was he incredibly obvious, but he missed Keith's incredibly obvious pause-before-handing-over-DVD. Wonder what that's all about, anyway, since we know it's not the gardener. (Unless it is, which would be good for a laugh.)
6. Wallace, much though I love him, is also completely clueless about things. What on earth was going through his head at any point during this whole Jane/Jackie thing?
7. Beaver's... I don't know. So's Mac - maybe he doesn't want to have sex with you because you keep calling him Beaver? Because he's secretly a conservative Christian? Because he really, really, REALLY doesn't want you near his brother, especially in any sort of sexual way? Maybe he's gay? (I hope he's not gay - people already floated that idea around just because he didn't want to be the one raping Veronica, so I'd like it if he were just a straight guy with a bit of a conscience, thanks. Edit: That's a conscience about not raping people, not one about not having sex in general.)
8. I love Weevil. LOVE. Even with his demented schemes for killing off people. That was great.
9. I love Lamb's lines. Not Lamb - him I hate - but his writer, ooh, I want to, ah, meet this person.
10. Strangely, I only liked, and didn't love this episode. I loved many individual parts of it, but the whole thing didn't work well together for me.
