Today wasn't that bad until the end. When Jenn and 'dul were both very late. And Ana peed in my shoe. Yes, in. Not on. In.

My shoe that I had to wear later, because my feet aren't Jenn's size at all.

And she was standing right in front of me as she did it, too.

*sighs*

In fairness, I don't at all blame her for this. So I just popped her on the toilet and my shoe in the oven (on a low heat) to dry out, because I couldn't very well wash it. But I was really, really pissed (excuse the pun), and it was made worse by my being very nearly late for my quilting class.

I was late, as it turned out, but not because of 'dul (he showed up in the nick of time) but because I missed my stop, and the bus sped past another before I could get the bell rung. And then I got lost twice trying to find my stop again. I wasn't *very* late though, and I did get started on piecing. I have three and a half pieces stitched together. Would've had a whole four, but I got to the end of the line on one, realized it wasn't the end on the other - and found out I'd stitched in a little ripple into the fabric. Gah.

So, today Ana Made A Joke. She'd been pretending to feed the baby some sort of imaginary food, and I took the opportunity to remind her that the baby only eats... what, Ana?

Ana: Milk. And I only eat soda.

This from a girl who hardly ever has so much of a sip of soda, who thinks of juice as a "treat" (it's very sugary, even if it has no sugar added, you understand!), and who doesn't seem to like soda much when she has it (the bubbles irritate her, though she perseveres in trying to get some. I used to be the same way with Jenn's Ginger's rainbow cookies....)! We sat on the floor for a good half a minute laughing, the two of us.

Speaking of laughing, hers is an evil laugh. Not her "I made a joke laugh" but her "I'm climbing where I maybe shouldn't, chasing somebody who's running, playing with somebody else's toy, and generally getting away with stuff" laugh. She literally goes "Ah-hahahahaha!" like Vizzini, or some other evildoer. It's hysterical.

I finally found out today why Ana insists on poking her baby sister in the face. "I wanna see her smile!" Aw. How sweet. If only it worked more consistently, and didn't leave me scared for the baby's life. (It does *generally* work. There's very little Ana can do that *doesn't* make her sister smile.) Ana also keeps slipping toys into the baby's swing and slantseat while the baby sits (sleeps) in them. She gets upset if we move the toys out.
