So, today, Ana and I blanketed up the living room. Or, rather, I stuck a blanket over some chairs, the desk, and the horse, while Ana critiqued my work and went to hide there.
And went to pee there. Luckily it didn't get on the floor, but soaked into her pants. I was pretty upset, though, because I'd just asked her if she needed to sit on the toilet or get a diaper on, if she was going to pee soon. And she lied right to my face (through the blanket) and said no. Gah.
So I clean her up, and stick her on her bed for two minutes for a time-out.
And come back to find she's no longer on her bed, which is just as well because where she is is standing up next to the bed with a small ball of poo on the floor.
I decided not to tell her off for getting out of bed during her time-out. It's comparatively easy to clean that crap off the floor when you compare it to the hassle of her bed.

Today, we're at the museum, and the woman at the desk is helping Ana put on her coat. As she zips it up, she asks "Ana, why are you sucking your finger? What does it taste like?"
Ana: It tastes like... MILK!
DeskWoman: Oh? That's a good thing to taste like. Here, lift your head so I don't get your chin.
Ana: It tastes like MAMA milk! It's yummy!
Ana is not a fan of the cow milk concept, though she loves other forms of dairy products.
I had some of her yay-gurt today. Man, that stuff is nasty. It's been a while since I've had anything with corn syrup in it, and I could taste it in this stuff. It didn't just taste too sweet, it tasted specifically like corn syrup. And it's got those colorings in it... ugh. I have to wean her off that garbage. I'll start cutting it with plain yogurt, a little at a time, and then (when she's used to it) adding regular fruit to plain yogurt. That's got to be better for her health.
