I chanced to take a child, two children out together.
Folks began to compliment, and I began to grin (kinda)
"How do you do, and how do you do, and how do you do again?"
I love the fog. We don't get that much of it, and it's so pretty. I like walking outside and seeing the world cut off. I like taking the boat, even with a delay, and not seeing the city until we're right up close. I like looking at city streetlights, even stoplights, blinking (or not) and see the light filtering in paths through the very low clouds. And I love hearing the foghorn.
Ana kinda freaked out after her nap, no idea why, and she only ended up calming down after I pointed out the foghorns going. Then we spent a delightful several minutes going "shh! Shh! Hear that?" and giggling every time we heard one of them go off. I love this kid.
(No, really, I do. People told me they thought she was older than she was because she was "so well-behaved". Normally, I chalk that up to social lies and low expectations, but today I chalk it up to Ana being well-behaved most of the day. She's really amazingly patient for her age, and we got out of the museum in record time as well, not that it mattered, as all the busses were late because the boats were late.)
