First, she was able to sit on the toilet and understand why she was sitting there, but nothing would happen.

Then, we could decide to plop her on at a regular time, and she'd pee, and we'd scream "GOOD GIRL!" like she'd just invented cold fusion.

Then, she got to go diaperless inside the house. Alas, every time she needed to pee, she'd announce this by declaring she wanted a diaper, and throwing a fit if you put her on the toilet. Every. Time. She has nothing against peeing on the toilet on our schedule, but apparently it's just too much to ask for her to do it when she actually, y'know, needs to go.

Until today.

Not once, but twice, she randomly came up to us to ask to use the toilet. She didn't change her mind as we hoisted her up, and then she peed. She asked a third time, but nothing happened. Silly me, I put a diaper on her and tucked her into bed... only to have to take her out again after she pooed. Poor Ana.

Still, this is great. Every dollar saved on diapers is another doller that may eventually wend its way into my pocket.

Of course, now babysitting will be complicated by "Connie? I gotta go!"

Yeah, her sentences are getting fancy too. And we can hold actual, three or four sentence conversations with her. I'm a little scared, really. Now if I do something horribly wrong, she can tell her parents. EEEK!

Recent Ana catchphrase? "Connie. I not darling. I girl (or I Ana, depending)"

Oh, and the baby is a month old now. Never let anybody tell you that babies that old don't know anything. Today, that kid managed to pee all around her diaper. It's not that absorbant! Jenn's got Views, after all :) And she was fine as I held her. She was fine when I lay her on the floor. She was fine when I stripped her icky clothes off. When I lay her on the changing pad, she freaked, staring all around and starting to fuss. She knows that changing pad means business, and she doesn't like it.

The "Connie. I not darling..." part cracked me up.

Oh. Hey. You were wrong. :)

So, no, one egg does not satisfy your protein needs. It's, in fact, less than 20% that. :)

You said 1 egg should be okay for a day.

No worries, I am getting enough protein. I just can't let an opportunity to *try* to prove you wrong go to waste.

I ♥ you! :)
