Today's haiku!
Nov. 21st, 2005 10:17 pmHear that? Pop, pop, pop!
Pouring butter on, yummy.
Popping popcorn.
Ana's first popcorn ever, and the first time I made real popcorn instead of the microwave stuff.
I'm never going back. It was fast to make, we got to use real butter (we used too much because we're used to seeing fake butter on popcorn, and real butter isn't as yellow), it was *easy* to make, and fun, and, best of all, none of it burnt. And it's a lot cheaper than microwave popcorn.
Jenn had sent me to the store to do her grocery shopping, because it was hard for her to carry the baby, and she'd said I could pick up whatever fruit I wanted so long as it was cheap, and that the order should come to less than $30. So I picked up tangerines, and I was debating whether or not to get a small desert when I saw the popcorn. Under two dollars for 27 full servings of popcorn. That'll last us forever, or very nearly. And I thought Ana'd really like it. So I confirmed with Jenn that the small splurge was okay, and it was, I tell you, well worth it.
Ana really did run all around the house going "Hear that? Hear that? Pop-pop-pop! Pop-pop in the ticken!"
