I found one of my Far Side books today...

And I was browsing through it. Gee, there's a lot of Far Side comics out there. And you only ever see a few of them.

Math teachers always have that same "Math Phobics Nightmare" taped up on their walls. Veterinarians always have "What Dogs Hear".

It's boring. Conformist. Why not tape up, say, the one with the alien spaceship that takes away the desert island's tree? That'd be a real bit of absurdity in your day. Or the trick knee one...

Why always the same three or four comics in constant rotation? WHY, GOD, WHY?????

Oh, sure, people speak of relevance. Well, there's other math comics, and animal comics, and whatnot, so what relevance?

It's like that whole pink and purple thing again. Ick.

I was just at my vet's. They didn't have the one you mention, they had a different one.. dogs on a train, and the dog ticket collector saying, "Ticks, fleas. Ticks, fleas."

I don't think it's as funny. I love the "What Dogs Hear" one. Though come to think on it, I don't recall seeing it at any of my vets.
