So, Darklink's back...

AGES ago, he pretended to be this other person, "walker", whom he (darklink) claimed bullied him and lived right nearby. "Walker" harrassed the neocolours board and cursed until one day darklink came on to say that "walker" had been killed. Suspicious, much? Anyway, he then switched the "walker" account to "ladydarklink", whom he claimed was his girlfriend. Pretty obvious, so we all caught him at it.
He stopped those antics for a while, but he never was a great poster, posting nonsense about a color, for example, instead of a real comment, just so he could get "first post" in. And, in fact, he never did have much to say. So some people, citing his timewasting nonsense, complained that he should be banned. Now, in fairness, I don't think being annoying and not posting anything worthwhile is a bannable offense. At all. But, while that petition was still active, he....
Changed his name to "mimic" and decided he'd take other people's avs and siggies, pretending to be them. Without asking. Without uploading them to his own server. Aside from being 1. confusing and 2. harassment this is outright bandwidth theft, and we all know it, even if we don't. After everyone got pissed, and sam got involved on that level, telling him to knock it off, he posted an apology board, saying "sorry, but *sobsobsob* I have no friends *sob* and my parents don't pay enough attention to me *sob* and I hope you can forgive me". Now, I don't know about everyone else, but this really pisses me off. So he has no friends. Big deal. I grew up with very few friends outside of my family, I didn't go being a bigger brat than usual because of it. His story is hardly the saddest one on the NC boards, nor is he the youngest person there. Even when other people have used similar excuses, there is still a big difference between "Sorry, I was a jerk, I was in a bad mood, but that doesn't excuse my behaviour" and "sorry, but it's not my fault, I do this because my life sucks". Which is what I told him, but a bit more nicely.
So things quiet down for a short (and I mean short) time. Next thing you know, he's claiming he can do adoptables... which were apparently somebody else's. And then he blames it on his "brother".... At this point, he's up to his what, 4th chance? Is anybody still keeping count? and sam finally, while he didn't ban the guy, he gave him a custom title of "timewaster" and made it impossible for him to change avs or sigs. Darklink cursed him out, we all laughed, and the board got locked.
Now darklink is back again with more apologies and more promises to change. And I'm just not buying it. As far as I know, he's never actually taken responsibility for anything he's done. Oh, he's apologised, but I don't take apologies very seriously when they include the words "I have no friends" or "I hope to get rid of the custom title by new years" (which is in a week, by the way... even Santa requires more good deeds than that!) and don't actually refer to what's been done.
*sighs* I wish he would change, of course... but sometimes, people just don't. I'm not holding out hope. He proved what he was like mihi when he did the last bit AS WE WERE COMPLAINING.

It was the death of my fictitious fiance... Hell, that was only a year ago.
Ah well. Enough about me. Yes, I used to be sympathetic for him.
Art theft... I'm not sympathetic for. Not in the least. Cause I'm an artist now (but, fortunately, I've yet to encounter a theif, possibly because the fact my pictures aren't worth stealing)
DL, I could tolerate, but I don't think I would do it too gladly.
And I certainly don't sympathise with him.
