So, once again, I missed BSG because we were at the drums. No big deal, I can always get it from another source, right? IT JUST TOOK A FRAKKIN' DAY TO DOWNLOAD - nevermind.
Anyway, here I am, scrolling down my friends page while listening to the opening credits (and I'm not so fond of the Brit version of the music, but that's a different complaint.)
Now, those of you who know about this show know about the drumming that used to be on the credits, the drums that were cruelly taken away to satisfy some whiners. I'm quite upset about that. QUITE UPSET, I SAY.
In fact, I'm so disgruntled that I mostly leave the room when the opening credits are on - that's why I was Friends Page Reading.
And then I had to scream, because EEEEEEEE, DRUMS.
That's louder than I screamed because EEEE, NEW BABY (apparently, his other middle name is Paul, not sure what they're actually calling him), but not as loud as I screamed because EEEEE, NEW BOOK!
Just to give you a baseline.
Edit: Now that I've seen it....
1. Yes, the doctor was SO OBVIOUSLY CYLON.
2. I love how Starbuck originally took the better part of valor (that is, she ran away). That seems out of character a bit, but damn smart.
3. Okay, back a bit, eeeeeewwww to creepyness. Was he feeling her up as he talked about childbearing women? Eeeeew. Sad thing is, he's probably right when it comes to the resistance, except I don't think they have many men capable of, um, "getting it up" either, not with all that radiation floating around. Except....
4. Is anybody actually sick from radiation poisoning? And wouldn't that kill the plants too? Are we sure there ever really was radiation? Maybe they bombed some other way?
5. Adama looks younger.
6. Eeeeew! Chatting it up with a corpse? A cylon corpse? Ewwww!
7. He's remarkably willing to view the cylons as people. Hm....
8. Oh, I loved Gaius' fake clap thing at the beginning. First he was clapping like a reluctant and arrogant child, then he was doing the fake clap "done by middlings to encourage underlings to applaud overlings". Too funny.
9. I agree, Madam President is getting more and more scary religious by the episode. On the *other* hand, right after the destruction of billions of people is probably the best time in the world to get religion. It certainly can't hurt. That would explain why so many people followed her.
10. They're all being nice to LiveBoomer. Odd.
