Ana is getting SO SMART.

And so whiny. She turned two, she hit the terrible twos with a vengeance. I'm already bored with 'em.
But, back to the SO SMART part. She's starting to use real sentences, not just two word combos. She chases a ball, when she catches it she says "I got you!". She wants to go on a chair, she says "Awant sit down!". She bangs her hand, she says "Kiss your finger?". (She's still not completely clear on the pronouns thing, or even the name thing. While she consistently calls us all by the right name, and responds to her name, she greets people with "Hi Ana", and often will say "Bye Ana" as well.)
Oh, and she can now catch a ball that's thrown to her. Which makes her right on par with me, physically...
And she kindasorta has the idea of "racing".
And she will occasionally say please with no prompting, or with only the minimal prompting of "what do you say?" instead of the more direct "say please!". And she says "thank you". And sorry. And "it's all right". And "scuzeme". This is one polite little girl, until she gets to the no. Nah hug! Nah nap! Nah tired! Nah kiss! Nah done! Nah up! Nah poo! (This, when she clearly needs her diaper changed, is enough to make me weep.)
I love my Anababy. She's sooooooo smart. Clearly, the smartest baby, like, ever, right? Except she's not a baby, she's a little girl, and it's all scary and cool and scary and cool and awwww.
OH! And when I go up and down the stairs with her, I count for each step, and wait for her to repeat it. But now, up until around four or five, she'll say the words with me instead of repeating. Too, too, too cool. And she'll echo us when we read to her.
