Thank you for linking; he and I both appreciate it. He might be coming from southern California all the way out here to Atlanta - if he's got nowhere else to go, I'll put him up.
This is the guy who gave me a place to stay when I was homeless with two kids. He fed me. He fed the kids and bought diapers. He's always been the type to help out anyone in a pinch - and now, no good deed goes unpunished. I wish I could help him out with money, but things are tight here as it is.
Thanks again! And you can unlock the post if you like, he certainly has no problem with it. I checked.
Oh, and to answer your first question, yes. I've known him since approximately 1988, he's one of my best friends. We've slipped in and out of contact since I moved away from California - mostly my fault, I'm HORRIBLE at maintaining correspondence.
He's one of the few people in my life who can show up on my doorstep and have a place to stay, no questions, and my husband feels the same way about him.
I happen to be in LA right now; where in California is he? My son will be taking a trip up the coast next week, and would be able to visit him anywhere between LA and Crystal City.
I'm not sure if I have need for stuff, but I'd be more than willing to take a look at the list. He can reach me at 914-374-8142 (cell) 'til 11pm most nights. I get up early, calling in the morning is fine.

Date: 2005-06-28 02:13 pm (UTC)I sent the link to my boyfriend and he'd like to buy a lot of the stuff, but since he's not local, we're not exactly sure how that would work out.
