Which is the idea that this idiot was promoting the use of "warning labels" for gay people. I think he was trying to promote a warning label for the so-called "gay lifestyle" instead, despite the impossibility (and stupidity) of such a thing.

Oh, he's still a bigot. And stupid. But I don't think it's yet as bad as all that.

Do articles come in flocks or something? It seems like we'll have a few days of articles on one topic, a few days of articles on a second topic.... Today seems to be Gay Day, which is a nice change from Memos of Doom.

I disagree. Your line of thinking reflects the same false dichotomy of those who claim to "love the sinner but hate the sin." I suppose in theory it's possible, but in reality how can you say you love gay people, yet hate everything about them? If you make people wear labels for "gay lifestyle" then how is that different from making them wear labels for being gay? "Gay lifestyle" is a myth, anyway. There's no such thing as a "gay lifestyle," only gay people.

Hans Asperger did his work with autistic patients (the word he used, coincidentally) the same time that Kanner was doing his work in the US. Except that while Kanner's work thrived, Asperger's clinic was bombed by the Allies*. These things happen.

*_{This may not be literally true, but it does a nifty job of explaining in five words or less why Asperger's syndrome took so long to get recognized, doesn't it?}
