*sighs* It really bothers me to know about people with reasonably treatable conditions who do not treat them properly. I know it's not easy or simple, but there are well understood ways of significantly decreasing your risk of horrible effects if you have diabetes of either type. You just have ot actually do it. I keep wanting to offer to switch with such people. I'll take your diabetes and I'll prick myself regularly and monitor my blood sugar and diet and exercise, and you can have untreatable problems.
I know, it's not the right way to look at it.
Although I do fully support better education. Anyone who is hurting their health because they weren't informed is a problem. People need the best information that we have.
