My older cousin is a pharmacist and thank heavens he lives in a country where people`s rights to care for and control their bodies are still secure. I`m sure this would disgust him. >_

Date: 2005-05-18 06:12 pm (UTC)Well, I wouldn't really want to deny antibiotics to others, because I'm not a monster. If someone truly needs them, they should get them. But I could make a good case for denying them for moral reasons based on me placing more value on the lives of my loved ones than on thelives of strangers.

Date: 2005-05-18 08:24 pm (UTC)There's quite a few professions I can think of that I wouldn't take up, because they'd expect me to do things that go against my conscience. If you know going in that a profession is going to expect you do to do things that are against your conscience, that's a pretty good indicator that you shouldn't go into that profession. Period.
I don't even see why this is an issue. Any pharmacist not willing to do their job should be fired.
