You know what happened to Oedipus, right? None of it would have happened if his parents hadn't gotten that damn prophecy in the first place (all those prophecies are either terribly vague or self-fulfilling, it's a complete scam), and the only reason they got the prophecy was because they wanted to ask if their unborn child would be a boy or a girl.
There's a lesson here. The gods want you to buy gender neutral baby supplies.
