I'm listing all the people whose addresses I need. Even if I should have it, chances are I don't, so everyone I list should email me.

1. Xiggy (ADRESS RECEIVED)
2. Darkly (will email)
3. Glitzy... yours is up where I can find it, but an email would be nice
4. Fjorab (ADRESS RECEIVED)
5. Figgy (ADDRESS RECEIVED)

I would also like to send cards to Joey, Jazzy, and Phy, but I haven't cleared this with you guys, so you don't have to email your addy to me.

That is all.

I'd give you the address, but I don't know what would happen if something from you came in the mail. I don't pick up the mail for the house, so it's not like I could avoid any kind of confrontation by just grabbing the card from the pile...

I'd love to get a card from you, and I'd love to send you a card, but...I don't know how this would go down with my parents. They're pretty cool people, not the overprotective type, really, but they don't know what goes down with me online. If I told them, "Hey, I'm expecting a card from a good friend in New York I met on the Neopets chat board. Just to give you guys a heads up, 'kay?" I don't know what they'd say. "What have you been doing there?" "Who?!" "You gave out your address?" The like. They were never one for the idea of chat, and...I don't know. I don't know what point it'd get to, anything.

I've been on the verge of telling them about all this or just waiting until I move out and going on. I don't know. Sorry this is really...deeper? than you might've been expecting, but...

If the whole parents-mail thing wasn't an issue at all, I would trust you with my address, so that's not it. Just in case you were wondering.

Also, I don't know when I'd be receiving the card if I did give you my addy, but if it's any time past Dec. 19th or 20th, I'd be in Michigan with relatives. So, there's another hurdle.

I really...unless you have any suggestions, I don't know if I'll be able to give it to you. :(

When I think about it that way, it makes sense, I guess. But I'm just afraid they'd get a little curious. "Who's Connie?" Don't know what I'd say then. Guess I could pull a lie out, but I don't know how that would help other than fix the problem for then.

I'm probably making this more complicated than it is. :x

I had to go through the same thing with my parents over giving my address to Uly. 'Course, I'm very good at this because I've managed to convince them to let me give my address out to about eight people over the years... but they're very distrusting of the internet so I have to give them lots of information about the person. So. Some tips for explaining exactly who connie is:

Don't lie. Just say she's a brilliant college student living in New York, and that you've talked to/seen online many other people who know her in real life (that validates that she actually is who she says she is - if she wasn't, she'd have to pretend to be lots of people... xiggy, jenn, lizziey... and after a while of that holes appear in the stories), that she's a great community leader on a discussion board you visit, that she's done LJ phone posts so you've heard her voice... if they still have questions, you could always show them her journal. It's very well written and eloquent. That sort of thing always wins my parents over. Just explain to them everything that you know about her, why you like her, and why you'd like to exchange addresses with her. Lying just doesn't work -- when they find out (and they usually do) they're not happy. So, tell the truth and if they say no it's not really a big deal, just unfortuante.

(Sorry if this is utterly incoherant - I've got a killer headache and I feel like everythign I say is garbled.)
