The research, published April 20, found a lower risk of death for those people who are overweight when compared to people who weigh in within the recommended guidelines for a healthy weight for their height and sex.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that says overweight people have a lower risk of death than those of a "healthy weight". Right? So wouldn't that make the actual healthy weight higher than current guidelines?

Really, I'm still stuck on the phrase "risk of death". AFAIK, nobody is immortal, so... yeah. They must mean "risk of premature death" or something.

grins.. having a dutch grandmother, who has infliced her belief of "a healthy layer of fat will buffer you agisnt ilness" on the whole extended family, this comes as no suprise. Espicaly as she is pushing her mid 70s, and is still joking about going into a home, but is a very long way off it yet.
