Long story short, they're euthanizing up to 500 greyhounds on May 14th if they're not in homes/shelters by then. If you're in Conneticut, or you know anyone in that area, please spread this link around.

Thankfully, the drive_for_life and Greyhound communities are saying that chances are they're going to find at least temporary homes one way or another. It seems Greyhound rescues around the country are going to try to take in as many as they can.

It alarmed me too at first because my dream dog is a Greyhound...and I posted in panic too...then I saw what everyone in those communities replied, and...it's not looking so bad. *WHEW!* Hopefully that's correct. They DO still need help, but hopefully now the situation isn't as dire as the article implies.
