An unanswerable question, to be sure, but listen anyway.

I like certain foods. Other people dislike some of the foods I like, while I dislike foods that *they* like. Do the foods I dislike actually taste different to me than they do to the people who like them?

It's people like you that make people look at me funny when I ask for a milkshake extra thin. Actually, I've started saying something like "please make it thinner than usual" because people hear "extra th" and tune out and about half the time I think I get an extra thick shake because of it. I can't drink thick milkshakes because it's too physically painful. Apparently a problem that is often linked to the issues that cause someone to be prone to migraines.

I hear you about people hearing the "Th" and ignoring the rest of the word. I'm glad I'm married now because my maiden name used to be "Hurd" and I hated having to spell it for people because they'd still ignore me and write "Heard" or "Herd" and get annoyed if I wanted to write it out myself. Even when I'd emphasize it by saying "H, U as in UNICORN..." At least hardly anyone ever misspells "Franklin."
