I like picture books. I really do. I like the pictures, I like the stories, I like the fact that some of them manage to be quite subversive.

I need to start a picture book library for me. Forget the babies, I want picture books of my own! *sucks thumb defiantly*

Anyone who's worth their weight in tapioca pudding* has their own library. My girlfriend and I already have three and a half floor to ceiling (minus a foot or two) book shelf units full, along with several additional books scattered through out the apartment.

As far as children's books are concerned, there are a few really good ones that I want to recommend. I can't think of them off the top of my head, but I'll try to post back here once I look them up at the library...

I don't post millions weekly. I post less than 50 a week, on average.

And I have upwards of 1000 books in this house. Very few of them, though, are picture books - and most of those are in French!

I should mention at this point that that's both impressive and enviable.
